A Lesson From Bob Goff : Live In Grace, Walk In Love

"Live in grace, walk in love."

Those words haven't stopped ringing in my ears since they fell of the lips of Bob Goff when I was at the Storyline conference a couple of weeks ago. Live in grace, walk in love.

Yes. That's it. That's really all there is to do.

You know when you meet those people and you're like, wow, they've got it. They've really got it all together. Not in a perfect way, but in a that's what it's all about kind of way. That's Bob. Seriously. He is living in grace and walking in love.

You see, grace is freely given. We all have it. Whether we accept it or not, it's there for the taking. If we so choose, we can live IN it. How awesome is that? We don't have to earn it. We don't have to wallow in our wretched selves. We can let it surround us and comfort us and keep us from hearing the voices in our heads.

I really don't know if we can actually extend grace, unconditional grace, unless we completely believe it for ourselves. {Tweet that}   Once we take that grace and cover ourselves with it and really start living IN it, we can easily extend it to others. Grace for the lost, grace for the self-righteous, grace for the hookers, and grace for the haters. Every. Single. One.

When we are finally living in grace, we have to do something. We have to walk in love. Not sit in love. WALK IN LOVE. That means actually moving forward and showing love to others. Doing those things you love to do, with love. Gather people, feed them, send money to Africa, move to Africa. It doesn't matter. God will show you when you actually start DOING things.

The only way people will really find the grace that you've found, is by you showing them love. Right where they're at, no matter your opinions. Anger and hate will only turn people away. So if you really care more about the soul of a person and not just the way they're living, you'll love them. {Tweet that}  They will feel the love and find the grace. And the cycle will continue.

So go. Live in grace, walk in love. Repeat.
