Book Review :: Anonymous {Jesus' Hidden Years & Yours}

At the beginning of the year I made a HUGE list of books I want to read in 2013. This book, Anonymous, was one of those books. I can't tell you how much I love this book.

Alicia Britt Chole is a wonderful writer. It's hard to put the book down. She captures the essence of hidden years and reminds us that Jesus lived most of his life in hidden years.

We all go through those times of being hidden, feeling like no one see us or knows us or that we even make a difference in the world. The most important thing I took from the book was that these hidden years are forming our character. The choices we make now, even when we think they're not important, determine how we will react to situations in the future. Instead of waiting for something drastic to change our life, we can know every day, every choice we make is shaping our future. Every good choice we make influences us to make better choices in the future.

During Jesus' anonymous season, his choices clustered and gained momentum. Now they would become the greatest influence on the decisions he faced during what was destined to become one of the most well-known experiences in all of history: the temptation of Christ

There are many other nuggets of wisdom that I gleaned from this book. I highly recommend it to anyone! Especially us mamas who really are anonymous while we're raising our babes.
