Simple faith. How can something seem so complicated yet actually be one of the simplest things we ever do in this life? And when we have that simple faith, it makes everything else fall into it's divine place just as it is meant to be.
Faith: confidence or trust in a person or thing
If I really believe what the Bible says, and I really believe that God works all things together for good, then all I really need is a little faith.
"Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you." Matthew 17:20
Then why is it so hard sometimes? Why do we get caught up in religion and works and he said she said? None of that even matters. When we have faith that God is who he says he is and that Jesus came to pay for us all, we have everything we need. Whether we're rich or poor, educated or not, mother or barren, father or son, black or white, Jesus is the only thing we need.
Please don't get me wrong. There is nothing wrong with bible studies, colleges, seminary, or any other avenues of digging deep into the word of God. I actually love doing that. But nothing. NOTHING, can replace the communion of resting in His presence, reading His word, and allowing The Spirit to move in you.
Just last night I was going through my bible to find verses for the planner I'm designing. An act that was meant for work but slowly drew me into Him. I was flooded with His overwhelming love and comfort. I wasn't even looking but the presence of God was undeniably there.
So let this be an encouragement to you. If you're looking for deeper faith, for more knowledge, for more of Him, stop looking. He's already here. Close your eyes and rest in Him. Talk to Him like a friend. Thank Him for the things He has done and is yet to do. It really is that simple.
