Homeschool Resources

My Awesome tagline about how i can help you

without any of things you don't want to do!

As a 13 year homeschool mom, I've learned my fair share of lessons through MUCH trial and error and wanted to compile all of my favorites for you!

Homeschooling our children was the best decision we've ever made as parents and I wouldn't change it for the world.

Below you'll find podcast episodes I've recorded, blog posts with tips, and my recommended books, tools, and curriculum.

I will not be making a Homeschool course but have a recommendation for that below as well!

I'm an open book and if you ever have any questions or want to reach out, you can DM me on Instagram or join my Telegram Channel

My Favorite Curriculum

Curriculum is such a hot topic and I'm just sharing some of our favorites because ultimately what worked for me might not work for you. And if you have multiple children, one single curriculum might not work for all of your children. I want to encourage you to explore different curriculums, learning styles, and know that it's ok to change things up every year and even throughout the year!

We also used a charter when we were in California. It was started by homeschool parents so it was very much in line with our Christian worldview even though they were technically not allowed to use Christian curriculum.

There are plenty of communities and co-ops available all over. You don't have to do this alone!

Be sure to find the laws in your state as they are all different. California was actually pretty easy as you could just file one page saying you're homeschooling.

In Tennessee we do have to use an umbrella school and it does have a fee but they do all of our reporting. If you're in Tennessee you can use Home Life Academy. And you still can use whatever curriculum you want.

And remember! Your child does not need to be "doing school" seven hours a day, 180 days a year. When they can be focused and get through what they need to learn it takes much less time. We never did all 180 days of school and most days only take a few hours of formal education. My older two children graduated early and my third is about to do the same.

Teach Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons

Hands down the easiest way to teach your kids to read!

My Father's World Christian Worldview Curriculum

My absolute favorite curriculum for the whole family. Teaches chronologically from creation through present day.

We used this as a family for history and science and also used their recommendations for language arts.

Handwriting Without Tears

Such an easy way to teach your young ones how to write. Great cursive workbooks too!

Institute for Excellence in Writing

Great curriculum for writing well and teaching kids to think clearly and express themselves as they are writing.

Math U See

Mastery based, student paced math curriculum. We loved this when the kids were younger

Teaching Textbooks

As the kids got older we liked Teaching Textbooks. It was easy for the kids to watch the lessons and has worksheets as well.
