For The Love NEW 3d

I was recently given the great honor of being on the launch team for Jen Hatmaker's new book FOR THE LOVE: Fighting for Grace in a World of Impossible Standards. You guys. I love to read. I LOVE loving books and sharing them with you. But if I had to choose ONE book for you to read this year, it would be For the Love. Honestly. I'm not just saying that because I'm on the launch team. I really, truly, honestly believe that this book is for every woman out there.

In For the Love, Jen bridges the gap between every woman no matter their age, marital status, or race. With her brutal honesty and heartfelt grace she had me laughing one minute and crying the next. Through the entire book. She makes you feel like she's your best friend who would love you in your sweaty workout clothes or your fanciest dress. The one you could come crying to when your kids have gone AWOL and the one who will go with you to watch you get Botox injections you don't need. Because she loves you no matter what you do to your face.

If you ever feel like you can't get your crap together, you can't find community, or you're failing at life, this book is for you. On the other hand... if you feel like you've got it all together, you love your community, and you're straight up winning, this book is also for you.

Not only does Jen smack you in the face with a little reminder that we are all the same and "If it isn't also true for a poor single Christian mom in Haiti, it isn't true," she then has you gut laughing with her own Jimmy Fallon inspired thank you notes and a whole chapter dedicated to fashion concerns. She gets us, you guys. Because honestly, all of these things matter. It matters to find our purpose and know about social issues and it matters to laugh at ourselves.

Today is launch day and of course I'm going to recommend you buy the book

I'll leave you with a few of my favorite quotes from the book. Feel free to share them on your social media or wherever you want!

Honestly, I love Jesus but sometimes His followers give me a migraine. We're losing influence in our culture and it isn't even a mystery to why. One of the chief reasons is this: Christians. {Tweet That}

How many trot out that tried cliche - 'I'm waiting for God to open a door' - and He is all, 'I love you, but get going, Pumpkin,' because usually, chasing the dream in your heart looks surprisingly like work. {Tweet That}

Theology is either true everywhere or it isn't true anywhere. {Tweet That}

Maybe if we let ourselves off the hook, we can let others off too and discover that God was in control all along, just as He tried to tell us. He is good at being God. Hooray! {Tweet That}
