I recently listened to a podcast with Kelly Leveque, author of Body Love, and I was immediately drawn to her. Her passion for truly fueling your body with what is best for you was inspiring and I ordered her book from Amazon before the podcast was over. Her Fab Four Smoothies are divine! 

Here's why I love Kelly! 

Kelly Leveque is a holistic nutritionist, wellness expert, and celebrity health coach based in Los Angeles, California. Be Well grew out of Kelly's lifelong passion for health, the science of nutrition and overall wellness. Guided by a practical and always optimistic approach, Kelly helps clients improve their health, achieve their goals and develop sustainable habits to live a healthy and balanced life.  

I'm all for learning from someone who ACTUALLY knows the science of how our bodies operate and what fuels them. I'm so over the low calorie, run until you die, fad. After running myself ragged the last few years trying to run a business, I've realized I NEED to fuel my body! Running a business can be a lot like running a marathon. And one of those things I need to fuel it with is fat (which America has told us is a big no no). Kelly teaches the Fab Four method which is  the perfect mix of Protein, Fat, Fiber and Greens. Adding healthy fats to our diet has increased our energy immensely. I shared some of our favorite Keto tips here but what I love about Kelly is she adds in fiber and greens to keep things balanced.

She includes meals out, girls night, and brunch!!! I love that it's so flexible and actually so easy to maintain once you know the Fab Four and what they do for your body. No more highs and lows throughout the day!

Here are a few Fab Four Smoothie recipes we love so far:

Green Smoothie

  • Vanilla protein powder
  • 2 T. coconut oil
  • 2 T chia seeds
  • Handful frozen spinach
  • 2 C unsweetened almond milk

Almond Green Smoothie

  • Vanilla protein powder
  • 2 T Almond Butter
  • 2 T raw fiber
  • Handful frozen spinach
  • 2 C unsweetened nut milk

Chunky Monkey

  • Chocolate protein powder
  • 2 T Almond butter
  • 1 T chia seeds or flaxseeds
  • 1/2 banana
  • Handful frozen spinach
  • 2 C unsweetened almond milk

She has over 40 Fab Four Smoothie recipes in the book! I'll keep you posted on others that we love!

Also. We use and LOVE the Vitamix. It blends so quickly and so smooth!
